Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge
Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge is a safari lodge of a mid range located just off the crater edge on the south side of the Ngorongoro Crater. In our opinion, this is the most affordable safari lodge on or near the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater. The lodge is rustic and well maintained and well-known for it's nice staff.
The lodge is located just south of the Ngorongoro Crater overlooking the southernmost parts of the Ngorongoro Highlands. The lodge is operated in close cooperation with the local villages and a large part of those who work here are masais that grew up in the nearby area.
The lodge is located in an area with many animals, including elephants, buffalo and various types of antelopes and they are often seen close the lodge.
Accomodation
Rooms at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge are quite basic but nice and very well maintained. The rooms have a small verandah facing the surrounding mountains. Often you can sit on your verandah and see animals such as zebras, elephants and antelopes right next to the lodge.
